494 Gallery, May 1991 – June 1995 494 Gallery, located in New York City at 494 Broadway from May 1991 – June 1995, was a cooperative gallery consisting of 16 women artists working in photographic media. The artists worked from a primarily personal perspective, using photographs, video, installation and mixed media. Throughout the year, members of the collective exhibited their work at the gallery as well as curated exhibitions around various themes.
